End User License Agreement

This agreement is between you and the publisher of PwDone. Purchases are processed by our merchant of record; their terms of sale cover the transaction, and this agreement covers your use of the software itself. By installing, activating or using PwDone you agree to these terms.

License grant

Subject to payment and to your compliance with this agreement, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use PwDone on the number of devices permitted by the edition you bought:

  • Monthly plan: 1 device.
  • Yearly plan: 2 devices.
  • Lifetime plan: 3 devices.

Installing several PwDone editions on the same machine counts as one device. The software is licensed, not sold; you receive no ownership rights.

Restrictions

You may not:

  • copy, distribute, rent, lease, sell, sublicense, or otherwise make the software or your license key available to any third party;
  • share, publish or resell your license key, or circumvent the activation, device-limit or password-reveal mechanisms;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the software, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law; or
  • remove or alter any copyright, license or attribution notices.

Acceptable use

PwDone is a password recovery tool. You may use it only on files you own or are otherwise lawfully authorized to access. You are solely responsible for how you use the software and for complying with all laws that apply to you. Do not use it to access data that is not yours.

Updates

While a monthly or yearly plan is active you receive engine and format updates. A Lifetime license includes updates for one year from purchase; the software continues to work afterwards, but later updates are not included.

Third-party components

PwDone includes open-source components licensed under their own terms. Those notices and license texts are provided with the application (see the bundled licenses folder) and incorporated by reference. Those components are provided under their respective licenses, not under this agreement.

Disclaimer of warranty

The software is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. Password recovery is not guaranteed: the software may be unable to recover a given password, or may report an incorrect result. You use the software at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising out of or relating to the software or this agreement. Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid for the license in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Termination

This license is effective until terminated and terminates automatically if you breach any of its terms. On termination you must stop using the software and remove it from your devices.

Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of our country of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer-law provisions in your country of residence.
